Salary: $98,000 - 138,000 per year Requirements:
- We require a bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
- We require 5 to 7 years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare setting, or 10+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- We seek experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows, including clinical, revenue cycle, or IT operations.
- We need strong capabilities in requirements elicitation, workflow design, and testing.
- We expect familiarity with ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and waterfall or agile delivery methods.
- We value the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and operational stakeholders, as well as managed service providers, and to produce clear documentation.
- We look for a proven history of managing complex initiatives and leading cross-functional teams.
- For the Application Training focus, we require Epic Training Environment Build certification, 3+ years of related experience, and two Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications.
- For the Application Build focus, we prefer current Epic certification or proficiency in one or more relevant modules such as HB, PB, Cadence, Referrals, Orders, ClinDoc, or Clarity.
- For the Application Build focus, we prefer 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience.
- For the Application Build focus, we prefer prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- For the Application Build focus, we prefer experience with system integration, HL7, FHIR, and interface testing.
- For the Application Build focus, we prefer exposure to SQL, Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, or reporting tools such as Radar and Reporting Workbench.
- We value prior experience in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations when aligned to the assigned module.
- We prefer ITIL Foundation certification, Epic application certifications, experience in a large healthcare system or hospital environment, and knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- We consider experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, business intelligence tools, and an advanced degree to be advantageous.
Responsibilities: - We partner with stakeholders to gather and refine needs, map current workflows, and design Epic solutions that support operational and policy objectives.
- We create and maintain specifications, decision records, and design documentation to ensure traceability and disciplined change control.
- We perform gap assessments to determine configuration or workflow updates needed for upgrades, regulatory changes, or new initiatives.
- We manage smaller projects tied to implementations and system upgrades, using waterfall or agile methods as appropriate.
- We guide project teams through the selected delivery methodology and help maintain alignment to scope and timeline.
- We produce and update documentation for system configurations, support processes, and related procedures.
- We mentor junior analysts and share best practices across the team.
- In the build focus, we configure records, master files, profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows in line with approved designs.
- We maintain environment consistency and follow build naming standards and change management practices.
- We design and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance tests, then track and resolve defects while capturing evidence.
- We validate interfaces, printing, reporting, and downstream workflows, including regression coverage during upgrades.
- We coordinate releases, environment migrations, and downtime activities for upgrades and patches.
- We support go-live and post-go-live stabilization through rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and at-the-elbow assistance.
- We manage service requests and incidents promptly, using strong triage and root-cause analysis to meet service commitments.
- We provide advanced support for Epic, Workday, Kronos, and other applications, partnering with IT and clinical teams across the broader application portfolio.
- We collaborate with interface teams on HL7, FHIR, PDFs, CCD/CCDA, and other data exchange workflows.
- We work with analytics teams on Clarity and Caboodle extracts, registries, and operational reporting needs.
- We ensure data accuracy and consistent metric definitions across modules and stakeholder groups.
- We support regulatory readiness, audit requests, and policy alignment, including CMS and Joint Commission requirements.
- We embed privacy and security safeguards, including sensitive record handling and audit trail practices.
- We contribute to incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes aligned with ITIL.
- In the training focus, we design and deliver customized education programs aligned to organizational strategy and operational goals.
- We oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and governance of the CareConnect curriculum.
- We ensure curriculum content remains accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- We incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery.
- We manage the build, upkeep, and readiness of training environments.
- We communicate system releases and upgrades clearly and on time.
- We handle end-user training requests and incidents professionally and efficiently.
- We evaluate, prioritize, assign, and resolve requests within established service expectations.
- We document incidents and resolutions to strengthen the knowledge base.
- We partner with IT and operational teams to identify trends, implement preventive fixes, and improve service quality and user experience.
