Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Part-Time Library Assistant to support daily library operations and provide an exceptional experience for patrons.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with the public, staying active in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a community-centered team. As a Library Assistant, you will play an important role in keeping the library organized, assisting visitors, and helping create a positive and engaging atmosphere for all guests.

Additional Skills

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist library patrons in a professional and friendly manner

- Check books and library materials in and out using the library system

- Organize, shelve, and maintain books and other library materials

- Assist patrons with basic computer use and library resources

- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming library environment

- Answer general questions and provide excellent customer service
Support daily library operations as needed

Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Basic computer knowledge and ability to assist others with technology

- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
Ability to multitask in a busy environment

- Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to work independently when needed

- Previous library or customer service experience is a plus

Schedule:
- Part-time hours

- Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends
