Job Description

As a Park Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for the care and upkeep of landscapes, lawns, athletic fields, playgrounds, and sidewalks. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the grounds crew, ensuring safe and professional work practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance of landscapes, lawns, athletic fields, parking lots, and sidewalks to meet client expectations.
  • Monitor and manage work orders, delegating tasks appropriately to team members.
  • Assist with safety training and promote a culture of safety among grounds staff.
  • Communicate effectively with park community members and company management to address needs and provide updates.
  • Maintain flexible availability to support park events and respond to winter snowplowing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in landscape, athletic field management, or snowplowing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or crew leader role.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of 5 or more staff members.
  • Proficient in operating heavy equipment relevant to grounds maintenance.
  • Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, turf, evergreens, and trees.
  • NYS Commercial Applicator or Technician Certification category 3A preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions for 8-10 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid NYS driver license required.
  • Strong dependability and commitment to the role.
  • Ability to use digital reporting tools (for maintenance logs) and communicate effectively via email/mobile.

Compensation

Salary: $55,500.00 - $68,000.00 per year , commensurate with experience.
