Job Description

Arcadian Services  is now hiring a Chemical Blending and Production Associate  in our Florence, Alabama location! Position is Part-time, Monday – Wednesday 6AM – 3PM

• Pay: $14-16/hr; based on experience

• Potential for moving to full-time

Schedule:

• Monday-Wednesday
• 6AM – 3PM

Typical day in the life as a Chemical Blending and Production Associate:

• Follow filling procedures to fill containers ranging from ½ gallon bottles to 55-gallon drums.
• Read formulas and blend in precise step by step instructions.
• Operate scales, blending kettles and other measuring/mixing equipment.
• Operate forklifts and chemical handling machinery.
• Handle corrosive materials.
• Exercise proper use of all protective equipment.
• Properly label products in chemical containers. Both hazardous and non-hazardous.
• Compile orders consisting of ½ gallon jugs, 5-gallon pails and up to 55-gallon drums of chemicals.
• Palletize, shrink wrap and secure orders for shipping.
• Ensure accuracy of orders shipping to customers.

What are we looking for?

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required .
• 1 year of experience operating a forklift is preferred but will train.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to drive and operate a forklift
• Ability to maneuver drums weighing up to 500 pounds and lift containers weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Must be certified or be able to be certified to wear a respirator and follow all rules regarding respirator wear.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow established safety standards.
• Additional pay for CDL certified
