Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic PE and Health Teacher to inspire students to lead active, healthy lifestyles while fostering their physical development and well-being. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging physical education and health curricula that promote teamwork, fitness, and lifelong wellness habits. Your enthusiasm for teaching, combined with your expertise in childhood development and health education, will motivate students to embrace physical activity and healthy choices. Duties

  • Develop comprehensive PE and health curricula aligned with educational standards, incorporating creative writing and learning technology tools such as LMS (Learning Management Systems) to enhance lesson delivery
  • Plan and execute engaging lessons that incorporate classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and classroom experience best practices
  • Facilitate active participation in physical activities, sports, and fitness assessments while ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Incorporate literacy education and math concepts into health topics to promote holistic learning
  • Use standardized testing methods to assess student progress in physical education and health knowledge, providing tailored tutoring or additional support as needed
  • Manage classroom environments effectively, working with children with diverse needs including those with autism or requiring special education accommodations
  • Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and progress using learning technology platforms; proofread instructional materials for clarity and accuracy
  • Provide guidance on childhood development topics related to early childhood education, preschool experience, and behavior management strategies
  • Offer academic advising to students on health-related goals and support their social-emotional growth through positive reinforcement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health Education, Childhood Development or related field; advanced certifications preferred
  • Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children of various age groups including preschoolers and early childhood learners
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, parents, and administration
  • Experience developing curriculum using LMS platforms and integrating learning technology into lessons
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures, literacy education techniques, and math integration within health topics
  • Prior experience working with students with autism or in special education settings is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster active learning environments
  • Commitment to promoting inclusive practices such as Montessori or other child-centered educational philosophies
