Quality Engineer | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allendale that are seeking skilled Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and analyze production processes and product data to identify areas for quality improvement.
• Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO, IATF).
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality into product design and manufacturing.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation, including FMEAs, control plans, and inspection reports.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring quality requirements are met from design to launch.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in quality methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other relevant ASQ certification.
• Experience with specific industry quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS9100).
• Proficiency with statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Internal or external quality auditing experience.
