Regulatory SME - Portuguese Financial Services (zango.ai)
Zango is growing fast - and we’re looking for a Regulatory Subject Matter Expert with deep knowledge of Portuguese and EU financial services regulation to join us. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of RegTech. You'll be at the heart of regulatory interpretation and compliance analysis, helping our clients translate complex financial requirements into practical, actionable insights as part of a major regulatory technology deployment. What you’ll do:
- Interpret and explain Portuguese and EU financial regulations in clear, operational language. - Review and validate regulatory content against primary legal sources. - Support clients on compliance, policy reviews, and regulatory change analysis. - Collaborate directly with stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, and Risk. What we’re looking for:
- 5-6+ years’ experience in Financial Services regulation or compliance. - Law or compliance background (law degree strongly preferred). - Comfortable working with primary legislation and supervisory guidance. Fluent Portuguese and professional English. Startup pace, hands-on, pragmatic, and confident working with senior stakeholders.
