Salary: $98,000 - 138,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in system analysis and support in a healthcare setting
- In the absence of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare system analysis
- Proficiency with Epic applications and healthcare workflows including clinical and revenue cycle
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing processes
- Familiarity with ITIL practices, change control, SDLC, and project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile
- Effective communication skills to engage with clinical and operational stakeholders and produce detailed documentation
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading diverse teams
- Current Epic Certification or proficiency in relevant module(s) is preferred
- 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience is desirable
- Experience with system integration and interface testing (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Exposure to SQL/Clarity, Caboodle, or reporting tools is beneficial
- Previous work experience in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations is valued
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards is essential
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous
- Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools
- An advanced degree (Masters or higher) in a related field is a plus
Responsibilities: - Analyze stakeholder needs to gather detailed requirements and map existing workflows while designing Epic builds that align with operational objectives
- Develop and maintain specifications, decision logs, and design documentation for effective traceability and control of changes
- Perform gap analyses to identify necessary configuration or workflow adjustments for updates, regulatory compliance, or new projects
- Configure and set up records, master files, and tools according to the approved design framework
- Ensure environment consistency and comply with change management practices and naming conventions
- Create and execute testing plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance tests; document defects and testing evidence
- Validate interfaces, reporting, and downstream workflows while ensuring coverage during upgrades
- Oversee release management, including environment transitions and downtime procedures for updates and patches
- Provide live and post-launch support, offering assistance like office hours and tip sheets
- Manage service requests and incidents promptly, ensuring SLAs are met through effective triage and root-cause analyses
- Offer advanced support for Epic and other applications like Workday and Kronos
- Collaborate with IT and clinical teams for seamless integration with other IT systems
- Manage smaller projects related to systems implementations and upgrades, applying various project management techniques
- Create and update thorough documentation for system configurations and processes
- Mentor junior analysts, imparting knowledge on best practices
- Work with interface teams on integration standards like HL7 and FHIR and collaborate with analytics teams for reporting needs
- Ensure data consistency and metric definitions across different modules and stakeholder groups
- Support regulatory readiness and policy alignment while embedding privacy and security controls
- Contribute to ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, and change management
