Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder to perform flux core welding on mild steel for the fabrication of barges. The role involves MIG and TIG welding, reading blueprints, and collaborating effectively within a team under the guidance of a supervisor.

• Perform flux core welding on mild steel.
• Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Collaborate with team members under supervision.
• Ensure the quality and precision of welds.
• Conduct tack fitting and structural steel welding.

• Proficiency in flux core, MIG, and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and structural steel welding.
• Minimum of 3-6 months of previous welding experience.

• Experience with tack fitting and stick welding.
• Proficiency in welding fabrication.
• Completion of a weld test during the interview process (1-5F).
• Participation in a two-week onsite weld school may be required.

The position involves working in an outdoor environment, which can be very hot. Proper attire is required, including long sleeves, pants, steel-toed leather boots, and avoiding piercings and contact lenses due to welding smoke exposure. The role offers two shifts: 1st shift from 6 AM to 3:30 PM, and 2nd shift from 3:15 PM to 12:45 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN.

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ashland City,TN.
