By joining our Materials Fabrication Section as a/an Sign Maker II in Franklin County, you'll have the opportunity to manufacturing MUTCD compliant road signs and assisting in the recycling and reclamation guardrail program. Holders of the Sign Maker II position will complete tasks such as:

• Operate screen printers, manufacturing sign faces.
• Operate a HP Latex printer and Graphtec cutter plotter.
• Operate a squeeze roller and trim and palatize finished signs.
• Operate forklift, frontend loader, bush hog, zero turn mower to facilitate the guardrail program and ground maintenance.

Holders of this job will obtain the following skills:

• Flexi sign making program.
• Photo shop
• Screen printing and sign fabrication
• Heavy equipment and mower operation

Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

• Sign fabrication
• Screen printing
• Latex printing
• Heavy equipment

Heavy repetitive lifting, outdoors in the elements, bending, stooping, and standing. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: High school graduate. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of sign making experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational or technical school training in graphic arts, graphic design or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age. Working Conditions Incumbents perfrom duties in a production shop using various hazardous power tools and chemical processes.
