Office Manager- Job Description


The BMMSA Cardiology department is looking for an experienced Medical Practice Manager to join their growing team. This person will be responsible for the operations and administration of a busy Cardiology medical office practice. The Manager ensures the office is running effectively and efficiently as well as supervises and develops office staff.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice
  • Management of employees including interviewing, training, hiring, development, and performance management
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures
  • Solve patient care issues
  • Support 6 physicians
  • Coordinate day to day operations of the practice
  • Ensure positive collaboration between doctors and staff
  • Interact with patients
  • Ensure patient satisfaction
  • Address patient concerns and complaints
  • Ensure staffing is appropriate for day-to-day operations
  • Conduct staff meetings


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Professional, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, administrative staff, insurance payers, patients and their family members, suppliers, and the general public
  • Knowledge of regulations related to Medicare and commercial insurance
  • Skilled in using healthcare software and computer systems
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a medical office practice and supervising office staff

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
